Days of our Lives Comings and Goings: The Tally

Ken Corday, Days of our Lives Executive Producer, told Soap Opera Digest in an interview that:
Days of our Lives will see six actors leaving and six big actor returns. Corday said. “I’m going to throw everything but the kitchen sink on-screen, but it’s not going to be spread among 30 cast members. It’s going to be centered on 15 who are loved and are dear to the audience.

Though Freddie Smith (ex- 90201) is also coming to Days of our Lives in the coming weeks (June 23, 2011) as Justin and Adrienne’s son named ‘Sonny’ (short for Jackson) who was born in August 1991 (airdate), he can’t really be counted as a big actor return and is left from the comings list below.
Days of our Lives Comings:
Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans Black)
Drake Hogestyn (John Black)
Matthew Ashford (Jack Devereaux)
Mark Hapka (Nathan Horton)
So by our calculations and eliminating any comings that don’t fit the “big actor return” tag, there are still two empty seats on the return bus. Who will they be?
On the Days of our Lives Goings side of the ledger:
Days of our Lives Goings:
Crystal Chappell (Dr Carly Manning)
Louise Sorel (Vivian Alamain)
Bren Foster (Quinn Alamain)
Tamara Braun (Taylor Walker)
Francisco San Martin (Dario Hernandez)
Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane) ????
Though Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane) is included on the above list, her publicist insists that the actress is leaving of her own accord, not as part of the cast reduction exercise currently underway.  If this is true, there could still be a vacancy on the bus headed out of Salem.
If the tally’s above are correct, Days of our Lives fans are in for a couple more surprises.  Who would you like to see come back/ or leave?

  1. Ok Maggie Horton is a victim of the war going on,I do not want her to leave,we need a head to the Horton clan. This show started the year I married and I have watched or DVR`d,this show for 46 yrs.I hope NBC will understand they have a great show and great actors for all these yrs.Oh thats right NBC likes reality TV ok NBC I live in the real world an the crap you have on is that your one redeeming grace has been Days.I hope some other station is smarter than NBC and grabs this show. They are part of our daily lives and we love them all .When Alice and Dr. Horton passed and Mickey it was like part of my family was gone.My hour of rest daily is Days .If the writers cant find good scripts maybe they are the ones that should go.
