Brooke Confronts Bill
Brooke is stunned when Katie fills her in on all that happened with the Spectra Building. If Brooke was having second thoughts about divorcing Bill they have likely been squashed by Bill’s latest behavior. Once again, people have been hurt over Bill’s habit of putting what he wants, even material items, over anything and anyone else. This time it could have cost him his son, and seen him charged with Sally and Liam’s deaths.
Bill didn’t even pause for a minute between finding out he building was empty and pushing the detonator. Brooke wonders about Bill’s need for instant gratification and his need to have everything “now”.
As God Is My Witness
Liam and Sally are taken to the hospital where they are given the once over. Bill is there also and is held accountable for his actions and goes into full on defense mode. Bill, covered in grime from the demotion site goes all Scarlett O’Hara and declares “As God is my witness I was told you were out of the building.
Of course, Scarlett’s entire monologue goes: “If I have to lie, steal, cheat, or kill, as God is my witness, I’ll never be hungry again.”
Lie, steal, cheat or kill. Very Bill. If I have to lie, steal, cheat, or kill, as God is my witness, I was told your were out of the building.” Perhaps not the best monologue for Bill to steal.
Bill tries to make amends how he always has. When married to Katie and he stepped out of line he would buy her an expensive trinket to obtain her forgiveness. Bill falls back on old habits and will no double offer Sally and Spectra Fashions a new location, state of the art, to resume their business.
But he hasn’t counted on the Shirley displaying the same spitfire tendencies as her sister, Sally Snr. Shirley spits and Bill that they don’t need his help.
Steffy Questions Liam’s Loyalty
With her husband now safe, Steffy’s relief is replaced by anger and heartbreak. She begged Liam not to go through with the sit-in, but he put Sally Spectra’s needs ahead of hers. This is a sensitive issue for Steffy who has felt like she’s second fiddle in Liam’s life often. First to Hope, then to rescuing Ivy from deportation, and now to Sally Spectra and her building.
Steffy questions Liam where she and their marriage stands on his priority list. Steffy believes his loyalty to her and their marriage should come above everything else, much like Bill felt Liam should be loyal to his family above and his need to see justice for Sally Spectra.
Are Steffy and Bill going to find common ground on this issue???
